You’re doing the work—putting great products, content, or services out into the world. But getting people to notice, understand, and actually buy? That part’s overwhelming.
After decades leading client marketing, media, and growth strategy at major education and data companies, I created DearCustomer.Marketing to help purpose-driven business owners level-up their messaging, funnels, and outreach—so they can grow their customer base with less stress and more clarity.
Your messaging feels scattered. You’re not sure what to say or how to say it in a way that actually converts.
You're doing everything--but not seeing consistent results. You're juggling email, ads, content, lead funnels, but traction is slow and unpredictable.
You're hitting a ceiling with your current approach. What you have is not keeping up with where you want to go.
We get it. You’re not just trying to get more customers—you’re trying to grow something that matters.
We would like to see if we can help you work on what's next..
Focused on what actually drives growth: clear messaging, smart funnels, and campaigns that convert.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet consectetuer adipiscing elit
After years leading marketing and growth strategy for education and data companies, I got tired of seeing the same problems on repeat—messaging that didn’t connect, funnels that stalled out, and businesses pouring money into ads without a clear plan.
So I stepped out of corporate and started something different.
DearCustomer.Marketing was built to connect my experience with companies that are creating real impact—businesses offering tools, content, and services that help people grow, learn, and thrive in a rapidly changing economy.
What makes us different? We are hyper-focused on what actually drives growth: your customers. Not just impressions or clicks—but the real journey people take from interest to action. We build content, campaigns, and customer journeys that put your customer at the center, so your marketing doesn’t just look good—it works.
Bottom line: We want to help brands grow that help people grow.
Our mission is simple: Help purpose-driven brands reach more of the people they’re built to serve.
We believe great marketing starts with deep understanding. Not just of platforms or data—but of people. We’re guided by the belief that when you center the customer, clarity follows. And when your message resonates with real needs, results follow.
We promise to be the trusted partner who helps you reach more of the right people, align your marketing to what really matters, and grow a loyal customer base.
You’ll get thoughtful strategy, done-for-you execution, and clear insight into what’s working—so you can spend less time second-guessing and more time making an impact.

The rise of multimodal generation
Tools like Runway and Kling combine image, text, audio, and video creation in one workflow. Expect more platforms to integrate text-to-video and motion stylization.
AI editing that thinks like a marketer
Opus Clip and Vizard now auto-detect highlight moments based on speech, keywords, and even facial expression. This isn't just editing, it's combining the algorithms for viral videos and applying that intelligence to generating clips from your own content. That is some serious marketing-aware automation.
Ecosystem integration is how you think about future-proofing scalability
Tools that don't support webhooks, API access, or native export to platforms like Slack, Notion, or HubSpot are leaving a key future need off the table. Especially as the world of AI can make more connections with agents to perform tasks, they are going to need to be able to integrate and access multiple systems to complete a workflow.
Natural language interfaces
You'll see more tools letting you type "make this a 15-second product teaser for Instagram" and doing just that, without timeline editing.
More localization and multi-language avatars
Synthesia and HeyGen are racing to support global brands with avatars that speak dozens of languages fluently.
But here's the twist: Not all of these features matter if the tool doesn't support your business goals.
We used six key filters to decide what made our shortlist:
Does this tool directly support a top business need like lead generation, onboarding, or training or is it yelling about features that are distracting shiny objects?
Is the company releasing new, relevant features that address customer feedback and future needs or did they launch a minimal viable product and call it a day?
Can it integrate or export in a way that works with your existing tools (Zapier, Slack, CMS, Notion, CRMs)?
We prioritized tools with high active user bases, strong G2 or Capterra ratings (4.5+), and deprioritized those that had reviews related to billing and usability complaints.
We focused on tools that non-video professionals can use successfully. Tools that required a lot of practice to get a good output were ranked lower or removed.
We ignored niche use cases and focused on the video strategies that most businesses are needing to get done to operate and grow their visibility and engagement efficiently. We've mapped each use case to a primary tool (plus a strong backup) based on all six evaluation layers.
Best Tool: Opus Clip
Runner-Up: CapCut Pro
Why: Opus Clip turns long videos into dozens of short, lead-ready clips. The AI finds the highlights, adds captions, and formats for vertical. This is perfect if you’re short on time or staff.
CapCut’s a solid runner-up if you’re more hands-on and want trend-based TikToks or Reels with slick transitions.
Best Tool: Loom
Runner-Up: Descript
Why: Loom is the go-to for async updates, demos, and quick “let me show you” recordings. You can send a clean walkthrough in less time than it takes to write an email.
Descript is your backup when those messages need editing, cleanups, or to reuse later in a more polished format.
Best Tool: Guidde
Runner-Up: Synthesia
Why: Guidde lets you capture your screen and instantly create a clickable process guide, complete with clean text overlays and optional AI voiceover. It’s ideal for internal SOPs, help videos, or onboarding workflows.
For customer-facing or global training content, Synthesia offers advanced branding, custom avatars, and multilingual flexibility.
Best Tool: Descript
Runner-Up: Visla
Why: Descript makes editing feel like working in a doc. You cut filler words, tighten pauses, and clean up audio just by editing the transcript. It’s fast, intuitive, and gets messy footage ready for showtime.
Visla’s a good backup especially if you’re pulling highlights from calls or meetings and want AI to find the good stuff for you.
Best Tool: HeyGen
Runner-Up: Synthesia
Why: HeyGen helps you create high-quality product explainers, without stepping in front of a camera. Choose an AI avatar, add your script, and you’ve got a clean, on-brand video that feels personal.
Synthesia comes in strong as a second choice when you need more language options, strict brand control, or you’re making formal explainers for enterprise clients.
Best Tool: Canva
Runner-Up: Adobe Express
Why: Canva is built for speed and brand consistency. Its video templates let you crank out polished promos, social ads, or product highlights without needing a video editor on staff. You can apply your brand kit, add animation, and export in all the right formats in minutes.
Adobe Express is a solid runner-up and great for teams already in the Adobe ecosystem. It adds more advanced motion and video effects, but it takes a bit more effort to learn.
Best Tool: Runway
Runner-Up: Kling 2.1
Why: Runway helps you create stunning, cinematic video from scratch, even if you’re not a designer or editor. You can generate entire scenes, objects, or effects just by describing what you want. It’s ideal for brands that want to stand out with high-end visuals that feel custom and original.
Kling 2.1 is a powerful alternative with more control and photorealism. It’s still in early release, but is an emerging leader in realism and advanced effects. If you are tech-savvy and are comfortable with a steeper learning curve, it’s worth checking out.
Best Tool: Vizard
Runner-Up: Descript
Why: Vizard is built for content marketers who want to turn long-form recordings into bite-sized clips. Upload your webinar or meeting, and it uses AI to surface highlight moments, create social-ready snippets, and even auto-caption. It’s ideal for repurposing without the editing grind.
Descript is the next-best pick, particularly if you want more editorial control. It’s perfect for refining raw recordings, trimming out the fluff, and layering in branding or narration before you publish.
Best Tool: Guidde
Runner-Up: Loom + Descript
Why: Guidde wins for documentation. Guidde is your go-to when you want to turn your know-how into something others can follow without recording the same thing ten times. It captures your screen, breaks the process into steps, and adds clear labels, visuals, and voiceover so you can hand off tasks or train people with confidence.
If you want something a little more personal, the combo of Loom and Descript works well. Record a quick walkthrough in Loom, then tighten it up in Descript before you share. Great for creating a polished version of what you’d normally explain over and over in meetings.
Best Tool: Descript
Runner-Up: Canva
Why: Descript is where you can clean up almost everything. It trims out the ums, tightens the rambles, balances the sound, and helps messages sound more professional without sounding overproduced.
Canva comes in when you need to dress it up visually with thumbnails, captions, reels, you name it. Once the content sounds right, Canva helps me make sure it looks right too and then can export it for all types of formats for marketing.
Favor tools with roadmaps and active user communities. These are signals that the platform is investing in new features and listening to its users. A dormant tool—even a great one—won’t age well.
Pick platforms with API and integration flexibility like Loom, Descript, or Vizard, so you can stitch tools together or switch if needed.
Test emerging model cautiously. New tools like Veo and Sora are exciting, but still evolving. Start small and test voice and licensing before committing to full-scale use.
Use multi-modal tools now for control but watch omni-models for next-level polish. Multi-modal platforms let you swap voiceovers, edit visuals, and refine content in layers, which is ideal for teams who need flexibility. But omni-models like Veo and Sora are starting to outperform in natural pacing, audio sync, and realism because everything is generated as one unified output.
The best future-proof move? Choose modular tools now, but stay close to omni-model innovations for a leap in polish when they become widely accessible.
Examples to Watch:
Runway continues to push boundaries in creative video generation, releasing updates every few weeks.
Loom remains a go-to for internal communication thanks to its seamless integrations and embedded video support.
Descript is still one of the most efficient editing tools on the market, with a loyal user base and steady feature rollouts that make cleanup and repurposing simple.
You don't need everything. You need the fewest tools that do the most. That's why our top stack is focused on outcomes, not categories.
If you're looking for a partner to help scale and streamline your video strategy, we are here to assist.
Let's build a workflow that grows with you.
